The old National School closed in 1964 and its pupils transferred to a new building in Chapel Street, closer to the centre of the village. This section is in development.
On this page are PDFs of extracts from the School Logs, for the years 1964 and 1965, recording the efforts made to open the school on time, the staffing and the ceremonies of opening.
Another PDF contains extracts from the Logs until 1969.
‘School Photographs’ contains pictures of events and classes at the School.
‘World War I commemoration’ has photographs of a project in 2014 to research East Meon’s War dead.
