Pink
From: FamiliesRichard Pink, who now lives in Middlesborough, has conducted research into his family, which was prominent in East Meon particularly in the 19th century. His branch of the Pinks left the village in the mid-19th century to work in the booming ship-building industry in the North East. For a full account, in the East Meon History website, click here.
In this section, his notes and family tree, along with additional research notes by East Meon History Group member David Hopkins, and a page of newspaper clippings to which some of the notes refer.
In July 2014, Ashley Pugh contacted the site and we put him in touch with Richard Pink. He was enquiring about John Pink of Froxfield (which was part of the parish of East Meon until the 1840s). They subsequently exchanged research documents which are attached to a new page, Pink/Pugh.
A PDF of a summary of notes taken from Richard Pink and David Hopkins’ research can be downloaded from this page.
