Simon Mortimore, a member of East Meon History Group, conducted research into the names on the War Memorial of those who had died in World War II. A PDF is attached of the Powerpoint slides be presented to the Group in 2011. These contain summaries of the lives and deaths of these young men, along with entries from the Roll of Honour of some of them.
Those who are described are: William James Allen, Ivor Charles Bishop, Charles Victor Norman Blackman, Ernest Edward Blackman, Charles Albert Thomas Cheesman, Percy Goddard, Walter James Horsted, Alfred Frank Mullard, Christopher Raymond Neville, Joseph Frederick Phillips, Leslie Wilson, John Alexander Somerset.
