  • My father Sydney Collyer and I both went to this school! Loved his tales about his time there.

  • My mother aunts and uncles attended the national school Percy Edith (my mother) and her sisterMargaret were admitted 10\12\08 on your register records Lucy the younger sister was later .Your records show an Albert who we knew as Uncle John as dob as 9000 but this was not possible as that was the year my mother was born and as he was born between Margaret and Lucy would have been 9004 .My aunt was in possession of an attendane medal which she said belonged to my uncle but my mother was convinced was hers and looking. at the records as she was there for 6yrs and much longer than him.Sadly I have only just moved into the technological age and she sadly died in 1996 I was not able to show her your records. However I wonder if you have a record of who received these medals I do remember seeing it many years ago but as all that generation are no longer with us haven t a clue as to what happened to it.there surname was Pelling and there father my grandfather John.I look forward to hearing from you June Elson

  • I have just checked the school register and I joined the school in 1963 so my memory is a couple of years off, but I can certainly say that I attended the old school for at least a year until we moved to the new school in chapel street. I used to walk home to South farm from the school and on more than one occasion I had to be rounded up because I had decided to go off somewhere to play.
