Coptic_painting
Although the rich collection of paintings and murals which decorated the chancel and transepts of the church before the Reformation were removed or defaced, a few paintings have been added since, as well as drawings for subsequent re-designs of the church. The most notable paintings are the Royal Coat of Arms of James I and the Primitive Russia painting of the entombment of Christ, which came from the Crimea by a great uncle of vicar Rev C.H.Mylne.
This record also contains two lists of vicars of East Meon from 1283 – 1559 and from 1563 – 1984.
