Cecil Percy Smith was my beloved Grandad. My mum , Elizabeth Alliston (nee Smith) is now 88 and has moved back to Hampshire ,living in Southsea. She had an wonderful childhood living in the Post Office and often tells us about wading in the river and flying her kite on Park Hill as an air raid started. My grandma, Louisa, originally from the King’s Rest in Hambledon was a school teacher in East Meon before WW2.
